Musnad Ahmad 33:903

Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil ibn Abi Talib narrated to me, he said: I entered upon Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari, brother of the Banu Salama, and with me were Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Hasan ibn Ali and Abu al-Asbat, a freed slave of Abdullah ibn Ja'far who used to pursue knowledge. He said: We asked him about performing ablution after eating food touched by fire. He said: I went out intending to find the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in his mosque, but I did not find him. I asked about him, and it was said to me: He is at al-Aswaf with the daughters of Sa'd ibn al-Rabi', brother of Banu al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj, dividing among them their inheritance from their father. He said: They were the first women to inherit from their father in Islam. He said: So I went out until I reached al-Aswaf, which is the property of Sa'd ibn al-Rabi', and I found the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in a grove of palm trees, where water had been sprinkled for him, and he was there. He said: Then lunch was brought to him, consisting of bread and meat that had been prepared for him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, ate, and the people ate with him. He said: Then he urinated, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, performed ablution for Dhuhr, and the people performed ablution with him. He said: Then he led them in the Dhuhr prayer. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sat for some of what remained of his division for them until the time for prayer arrived, and he finished his business with them. He said: They brought back to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the remainder of his lunch of bread and meat, and he ate, and the people ate with him. Then he stood up and led us in the Asr prayer, and neither he nor anyone of the people touched water.
