Musnad Ahmad 33:913

Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Umawi narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, he said: It reached me from Jabir ibn Abdullah, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "When you cook meat, increase the broth or the water, for it is more expansive—or more reaching—for the neighbors."
