Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn Waqid al-Laythi narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to me, Jabir narrated to me, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Indeed, some people will emerge from the Fire after they have been scorched in it. Then they will be taken to a river in Paradise, which is called the River of Life. They will bathe in it, and they will emerge from it like the *tha'arir* (sprouts/new growth)."
