Musnad Ahmad 33:94

Waki' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Ayman narrated to us, from his father, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver the sermon leaning against a palm trunk. He said: A woman from the Ansar, who had a carpenter slave, said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have a carpenter slave; shall I not order him to make a pulpit for you to deliver the sermon upon?" He said: "Yes." He said: So he made a pulpit for him. He said: When it was Friday, he delivered the sermon upon the pulpit. He said: The trunk that he used to stand against groaned like a child groans. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, this wept because of what it missed of the remembrance."
