Musnad Ahmad 33:941

Yazid narrated to us, Hajjaj—meaning Ibn Abi Zaynab—informed us, he said: I heard Talha ibn Nafi’, Abu Sufyan, saying: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah saying: I was in the shade of my house, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by me. When I saw him, I sprang up toward him, and I began walking behind him. He said: "Draw near." So I drew near to him, and he took my hand, and we set off until he came to one of the chambers of his wives—Umm Salamah or Zaynab bint Jahsh—and he entered. Then he gave me permission, and I entered, and she was behind the veil. He said: "Do you have any lunch?" They said: "Yes." Then three loaves of bread were brought and placed on a tray. He said: "Do you have any condiment?" They said: "No, except for some vinegar." He said: "Bring it." They brought it to him. He took a loaf and placed it before him, and a loaf before me, and he broke the third into two, and placed half before him and half before me.
