Musnad Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA)

Hadith 33:947

Yazid narrated to us, Yahya bin Sa'id narrated to us, that Sharhabil bin Sa'd informed him, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who said: We arrived with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, at the time of al-Hudaybiyah until we descended at as-Suqya. Mu'adh bin Jabal said: "Who will fetch water for us in our water skins?" Jabir said: So I went out with some youths of the Ansar until we came to the water that was at al-Athayah, and between the two places was nearly twenty-three miles. We filled our water skins, and when it was after the time of 'Atamah (night prayer), a man was struggling with his camel toward the trough. He said: "May I bring it to drink?" And behold, it was the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. So he brought it to drink. Then I took the rein of his she-camel and made it kneel, so he stood up and prayed the 'Atamah—and Jabir, according to what was mentioned, was by his side—then he prayed thirteen prostrations after it.
