Musnad Ahmad 33:96

Waki' narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You have left behind in Medina men; you did not cross a valley, nor did you travel a path, but they shared with you in the reward, [for] illness detained them."
