Musnad Ahmad 332:4

Surayj narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Wahb narrated to us, from Amr ibn al-Harith, from Bukayr, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, he said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated to me, that his father narrated to him, that he heard Abu Burdah ibn Niyar al-Ansari saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Do not lash more than ten lashes except in a prescribed punishment (hadd) from the prescribed punishments of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."
