Musnad Ahmad 332:7

Abdullah al-Muqri narrated to us, he said: Sa’id ibn Abi Ayyub informed us, he said: Yazid ibn Abi Habib narrated to me, from Bukayr ibn Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Jabir ibn Abdullah, from Abu Burdah ibn Niyar, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "No one shall be lashed more than ten lashes in anything less than a prescribed punishment (hadd) from the prescribed punishments of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic." Abdullah said: My father said: This is how he said it to us; he did not say "from his father."
