Musnad Ahmad 1302:33

Abu al-Ala al-Hasan ibn Siwar narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, from Mu’awiyah, from Abu Halbas Yazid ibn Maysarah, who said: I heard Umm al-Darda’ saying: I heard Abu al-Darda’ saying: I heard Abu al-Qasim (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) saying—and I did not hear him use this kunya for him before it, nor after it—saying: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, says: 'O ‘Isa, I am sending after you a nation that, if what they love befalls them, they praise Allah and give thanks; and if what they dislike befalls them, they seek reward and are patient, without forbearance or knowledge.' He said: 'O Lord, how can this be for them, without forbearance or knowledge?' He said: 'I will give them from My forbearance and My knowledge.'"
