Musnad Ahmad 1302:34

Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik narrated to us, Sahl ibn Abi Sadaqah narrated to me, he said: Kathir Abu al-Fadl al-Tufawi narrated to me, Yusuf ibn Abd Allah ibn Salam narrated to me, he said: I came to Abu al-Darda during the illness in which he passed away. He said to me: "O son of my brother, what has brought you to this land?" or "What has brought you?" I said: "Nothing, except to maintain the bond that existed between you and my father, Abd Allah ibn Salam." Abu al-Darda said: "This is a bad time for lying. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'Whoever performs ablution and perfects his ablution, then stands and prays two rak'ahs—or four, Sahl was uncertain—in which he perfects the remembrance and the humility, then asks Allah the Almighty for forgiveness, he will be forgiven.'" Abd Allah said: Sa'id ibn Abi al-Rabi' al-Samman narrated it to us, he said: Sadaqah ibn Abi Sahl al-Hana'i narrated to us. Abd Allah said: "And Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik, they were confused regarding the name of the sheikh, for he said Sahl ibn Abi Sadaqah, but it is actually Sadaqah ibn Abi Sahl al-Hana'i."
