Musnad Ahmad 855:9

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from more than one of them, including Ayyub, from Ibn Sirin, that Ziyad appointed al-Hakam ibn 'Amr al-Ghifari [as a governor]. 'Imran ibn Husayn said: "I wished that I could meet him before he departs." He said: So he met him, and 'Imran said to him: "Do you not know, or did you not hear, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: 'There is no obedience to anyone in disobedience to Allah'?" He said: "Yes." He said: "That is what I wanted to say to you."
