Musnad Ahmad 753:5

Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi narrated to us, Imran—meaning al-Qattan—narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn al-Shikhkhir, from Hanzalah al-Usaydi, who said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, when we are with you, we are [in a certain state], but when we depart from you, we are otherwise." He said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, if you were to remain in the state that you are in when you are with me, the angels would shake your hands and shade you with their wings."
