Musnad Ahmad 403:21

Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Al-Hakam ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Muslim ibn Khalid narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah ibn Utbah ibn Mas’ud, from Ibn Abbas, from al-Sa’b ibn Jaththama, that he said: "O Messenger of Allah, we raid the houses or the settlements of the polytheists at night, and among them are their children and their women. Do we kill them?" The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "They are from them."
