Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Ishaq ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr—meaning al-Humaydi—narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, he said: al-Zuhri narrated to us, he said: Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah informed me that he heard Ibn Abbas saying: al-Sa’b ibn Jaththama al-Laythi informed me, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him—and he was asked about the people of the houses from among the polytheists, that they are attacked by night, and some of their women and children are struck—the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "They are from them."
