Musnad Ahmad 403:5

Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Mansur ibn Abi Muzahim narrated to us, he said: Abu Uways Abdullah ibn Uways narrated to us—I heard from him during the caliphate of al-Mahdi—from al-Zuhri, from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah, from Ibn Abbas, from al-Sa’b ibn Jaththama, who said: A slaughtered wild donkey was gifted to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, at Waddan, or he said: at al-Abwa’. He said: So he returned it to me. When he saw the intensity of that [reaction] on my face, he said: "We only returned it to you because we are in a state of ihram."
