Musnad Ahmad 403:6

Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Ubaydullah ibn Umar al-Qawariri narrated to me, he said: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, he said: I heard Salih ibn Kaysan narrating, from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah, from Abdullah ibn Abbas, from as-Sa’b ibn Jaththama, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was at Waddan when as-Sa’b ibn Jaththama—or a man—brought him a portion of a wild donkey. He returned it to him and said: "We are in a state of ihram; we do not eat game."
