Musnad Ahmad 403:9

Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr narrated to me, he said: Hammad narrated to us, Amr ibn Dinar narrated to us, from Ibn Abbas, from al-Sa’b ibn Jaththama, who said: A wild donkey was brought to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, at Waddan, and he returned it. He said: "We are in a state of ihram; we do not eat game."
