Musnad Ahmad 456:3

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Muhammad ibn Yahya and Yazid, who said: Yahya ibn Sa’id narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Yahya, from Ibn Abi ‘Amrah, that he heard Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani. Yazid said: That Abu ‘Amrah, the freed slave of Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, heard Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani narrating: That a man from among the Muslims died at Khaybar, and it was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: "Pray over your companion." He said: The faces of the people changed because of that. When he saw what was upon them, he said: "Your companion embezzled [from the spoils] in the way of Allah." So we searched his belongings, and we found in them beads from the beads of the Jews that were not worth two dirhams.
