Musnad Ahmad 8:106

Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Amir ibn Sa'd, from his father, who attributed it to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "The greatest of the Muslims in sin among the Muslims is one who asked about a matter that had not been forbidden, and it was then forbidden for the people because of his questioning."
