Musnad Ahmad 8:111

Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Malik ibn Aws, [who said]: I heard Umar saying to Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, Talhah, al-Zubayr, and Sa’d: "I adjure you by Allah, by whom the heavens and the earth stand"—and he said once: "by whose permission they stand"—do you know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'We are not inherited from; what we leave behind is charity'?" They said: "By Allah, yes."
