Musnad of Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (RA)

مسند أبي إسحاق سعد بن أبي وقاص (1) رضي الله عنه

Hadith 8:16

Hushaym narrated to us, Khalid informed us, from Abu Uthman, who said: When Ziyad was claimed [as a son], I met Abu Bakrah. I said: "What is this that you have done? For I heard Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas saying: 'My ears heard it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was saying: "Whoever claims a father in Islam other than his own father, while he knows that he is not his father, then Paradise is forbidden to him."'" Abu Bakrah said: "And I also heard it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)."

حدثنا هشيم ، أخبرنا خالد، عن أبي عثمان، قال: لما ادعي زياد، لقيت أبا بكرة، قال: فقلت: ما هذا الذي صنعتم؟ إني سمعت سعد بن أبي وقاص يقول: سمع أذني من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو يقول: " من ادعى أبا في الإسلام غير أبيه، وهو يعلم أنه غير أبيه، فالجنة عليه حرام " فقال أبو بكرة: وأنا سمعته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
