Musnad Ahmad 8:170

Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Layth ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from 'Ayyash ibn 'Abbas, from Bukayr ibn 'Abdullah, from Busr ibn Sa'id, that Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas said during the tribulation of 'Uthman ibn 'Affan: I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "There will be a tribulation in which the one sitting is better than the one standing, and the one standing is better than the one walking, and the one walking is better than the one running." He said: "What do you see if he enters my house and stretches his hand toward me to kill me?" He said: "Be like the son of Adam."
