Musnad of Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (RA)

Hadith 8:22

'Affan narrated to us, Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to us, Ya'la ibn Hakim narrated to me, from Sulayman ibn Abi 'Abd Allah, who said: I saw Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas seize a man hunting in the sanctuary of Medina, which the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) had made sacred. He took his clothes from him. His masters came, and he said: "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) made this sanctuary sacred, and he said: 'Whoever you see hunting anything in it, his spoils belong to him.' I will not return to you a provision that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) has provided for me, but if you wish, I will give you its price." 'Affan said once: "If you wish for me to give you its price, I will give it to you."
