Musnad Ahmad 8:38

Waki' narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Hassan al-Makhzumi narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Nahik, from Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "He is not of us who does not recite the Quran with *taghanni* (melodious voice/chanting)." Waki' said: "Meaning, he seeks sufficiency through it."
