Musnad Ahmad 8:53

'Affan narrated to us, Sulaym ibn Hayyan narrated to us, 'Ikrimah ibn Khalid narrated to me, Yahya ibn Sa'd narrated to me, from his father, who said: The plague was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he said: "It is a scourge with which those who were before you were afflicted. So if it is in a land, do not enter it, and if it is in it while you are therein, do not depart from it."
