Musnad Ahmad 8:55

Waki’ narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Rashid narrated to us, from Makhul, from Sa’d ibn Malik, who said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, a man is the protector of the people; is his share and the share of others equal?" He said: "May your mother be bereaved of you, O son of the mother of Sa’d! Are you granted provision and victory except through your weak ones?"
