Hadith 34:6
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Sa‘id—meaning Ibn Abi ‘Arubah—narrated to us, from Qatadah, from ‘Ata’, from Tariq ibn Muraqqi‘, from Safwan ibn Umayyah: That a man stole a cloak, so he brought him to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he ordered his hand to be cut off. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have pardoned him." He said, "If only this had been before you brought him to me, O Abu Wahb." Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, cut off his hand.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
