Musnad Ahmad 124:1

Waki' ibn al-Jarrah and 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A morning journey or an evening journey in the cause of Allah is better than the world and what is in it."
