Musnad Ahmad 9:15

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Talha ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Awf, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Sahl, from Sa'id ibn Zayd ibn 'Amr ibn Nufayl, that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Whoever steals a span of land, it will be encircled around his neck from seven earths." Ma'mar said: And it reached me from al-Zuhri, and I did not hear it from him, that he added in this hadith: "And whoever is killed defending his wealth, he is a martyr."
