Musnad Ahmad 1153:1

'Abbad ibn 'Abbad narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, from 'Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade the killing of the house-dwelling jinn, except for the *abtar* (the short-tailed snake) and the *dhu al-tufyatayn* (the one with two white lines on its back), for they snatch away—or he said: they blind the sight, and they cause the miscarriage of what is in the wombs of women. And whoever leaves them alone is not of us.
