'Affan narrated to us, he said: Al-Aswad ibn Shayban narrated to us, he said: Abu Nawfal ibn Abi 'Aqrab narrated to us, he said: I asked 'Aisha, "Was poetry ever recited in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" She said: "It was the most hateful of speech to him."
