Waki’ narrated to us, Kahmas narrated to us, from ‘Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from ‘Aishah, who said: A young woman came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, my father has married me to his brother’s son to raise his own low status through me." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, left the matter to her. She said: "I have indeed permitted what my father did, but I wanted women to know that fathers have no authority in this matter."
