Waki’ narrated to us, Umar ibn Suwayd al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Aisha bint Talhah, from Aisha, who said: "The wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to go out with him wearing the *dhimad* (a type of ointment or medicinal paste applied to the head). They would bathe in it and sweat while wearing it, and he would not forbid them from it, whether they were in a state of *ihlal* (having exited the state of ihram) or *ihram* (in the state of ritual consecration)."
