Musnad Ahmad 1153:1061

Waki’ narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Jabbar ibn al-Ward narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, from ‘Aishah, she said: It was mentioned to her that the deceased is punished by the weeping of the living. She said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, only said regarding a disbelieving man: "Indeed, he is being punished while his family is weeping over him."
