Musnad Ahmad 1153:1132

'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from al-Aswad ibn Shayban, from Abu Nawfal, who said: I asked 'Aishah, "Was poetry recited in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" She said: "It was the most hateful of speech to him."
