Musnad Ahmad 1153:1209

He said: And the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say: "Seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan, from his *hamz*, his *nafkh*, and his *nafth*." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, what are his *hamz*, his *nafkh*, and his *nafth*?" He said: "As for his *hamz*, it is the death (epilepsy/seizure) that seizes the children of Adam. As for his *nafkh*, it is pride. And as for his *nafth*, it is poetry."
