Musnad Ahmad 1153:1339

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: Musa ibn 'Uqbah informed me, from 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Hamzah ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr, from 'A'ishah, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that she and the wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent word to the family of Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas: "Pass by us with him in the mosque, so that we may pray over him." So they passed by them with him in the mosque, and the wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed over him. The people disapproved of that, and that was mentioned to 'A'ishah. She said: "Do you not wonder at the people when they disapprove of this? By Allah, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not pray over Suhayl ibn Bayda' except in the mosque."
