Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, and Hajjaj said: Shu'bah narrated to me, from Hammad, from Ibrahim, from al-Aswad, who said: I said to 'Aishah: "O Mother of the Believers, inform me about what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade regarding vessels?" She said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade the gourd (al-duba'), the green earthenware jar (al-hantam), and the pitch-coated vessel (al-muzaffat)."
