Musnad Ahmad 1153:1373

Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Shu'bah narrated to me, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim, from his father, from 'Aishah: That a woman suffering from *istihadah* (prolonged non-menstrual vaginal bleeding) asked during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and it was said: "It is only a stubborn vein." She was ordered to delay the Dhuhr and hasten the 'Asr, and to perform one bath for them both; and to delay the Maghrib and hasten the 'Isha', and to perform one bath for them both; and to perform one bath for the morning prayer. Ibn Ja'far said: "One bath."
