Hadith 1153:1407
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far and Rawh narrated to us, they said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from al-Hakam, from ‘Ali ibn Husayn—Rawh said: I heard ‘Ali ibn Husayn—from Dhakwan, the freed slave of ‘A’ishah, from ‘A’ishah, that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived when four days of Dhu al-Hijjah had passed. He entered upon me while he was angry. I said: "Who has angered you, O Messenger of Allah? May Allah cause him to enter the Fire." He said: "Do you not realize that I commanded the people to do a thing, and I see them hesitating?"—al-Hakam said: "As if they..."—"I think—'And had I known beforehand what I have come to know afterward, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal with me; I would have bought it, then I would have exited the state of ihram just as they exited it.'" Rawh said: "Hesitating regarding it." He said: "As if they were apprehensive, I think."
