Musnad Ahmad 1153:1410

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from al-Hakam, from Ibrahim, from al-Aswad, from ‘Aishah, that she said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) intended to depart, he saw Safiyyah at the door of her tent, depressed or sad, and she had menstruated. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A ‘aqra or halqa! You are detaining us. Did you perform the ifadah (tawaf) on the Day of Sacrifice?" She said: "Yes." He said: "Then depart, if so."
