Hadith 1153:1467

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Malik, from al-Zuhri, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was never given a choice between two matters except that he chose the easier of the two, as long as it did not involve sin. If it involved sin, he was the furthest of people from it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) never took revenge for himself for anything done to him, unless the sanctity of Allah was violated, in which case he would take revenge for the sake of Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."
