Musnad Ahmad 1153:1473

Yazid narrated to us, he said: Muhammad—meaning Ibn ‘Amr—informed us, from Abu Salamah, from ‘Aishah, she said: "A month would pass for the family of Muhammad, and no smoke would be seen in any of his houses." I said: "O Mother, what was their food?" She said: "The two black ones: dates and water. Except that he had sincere neighbors from the Ansar, and they had milch animals, and they used to send him some of their milk."
