Waki' narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Mansur, from Abu al-Duha, from Masruq, from Aisha, she said: "When the verses of Riba (usury/interest) were revealed, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stood upon the pulpit and recited them to the people. Then, he prohibited the trade of alcohol."
