Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Isma'il—meaning Ibn Abi Khalid—who said: 'Amir narrated to us, from Masruq, who said: I asked 'Aisha. I said: "There is a man here who sends his sacrificial animal (hady) to the Ka'bah, and he instructs the one driving it for him—from a guide he has commissioned—to put the garland (qiladah) on it, and he remains in the state of ihram until the people exit ihram." He said: I heard the clapping of her hands from behind the curtain. "I used to twist the garlands for the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he would send his sacrificial animal, and nothing that is forbidden to a man regarding his wife would be forbidden to him until the people returned."
