Musnad Ahmad 1153:1601

Yahya ibn Sa’id and Ibn Numayr narrated to us, they said: Yahya narrated to us, from ‘Amrah, from ‘Aishah, who said: "We went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and we did not think of anything but Hajj. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded whoever had the sacrificial animal (hady) with him to continue in his state of Ihram, and whoever did not have a sacrificial animal with him to exit Ihram once he had performed Tawaf. When the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr) arrived, beef was brought to me. I said: 'What is this?' They said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has sacrificed on behalf of his wives.'" Yahya said: Shu’bah said, from Yahya: I mentioned that to Al-Qasim, and he said: "She has brought you the Hadith exactly as it is." Ibn Numayr said: "With five days remaining of Dhu al-Qi’dah, we did not think of anything but Hajj."
