'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, who said: A group of Jews entered upon the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "Al-sam (death) be upon you." I understood it, so I said: "Upon you be death and the curse." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Gently, O 'Aishah, for Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, loves gentleness in all matters." She said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, did you not hear what they said?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "I have already said: 'And upon you.'"
