Musnad of the truthful one, Aisha bint al-Siddiq (RA)

Hadith 1153:1634

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: And 'Ata' claimed that 'Aisha said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not die until Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, permitted him to marry whomever he wished." I said: "From whom was this narrated?" He said: "I do not know. I think I heard 'Ubayd ibn 'Umayr saying it."

حدثنا عبد الرزاق، قال: أخبرنا ابن جريج، قال وزعم عطاء، أن عائشة قالت: " ما مات النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم حتى أحل الله عز وجل له أن ينكح ما شاء " قلت: عمن تأثر هذا قال لا أدري حسبت أني سمعت عبيد بن عمير يقول ذلك
