Waki' narrated to us, he said: Hisham bin 'Urwah narrated to us, from his father, from 'Aishah, who said: "When the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was taken [passed away], he was shrouded in three white Yemeni garments of *kursuf*—meaning cotton." She said: "There was no shirt in his shroud, nor a turban."
